Population Alaska: 670,053
For comparison, try this:
Population Austin, Texas: 656,562
Population San Antonio: 1,144,646
Palin governs a state with less people than lots of US cities.
I betcha there are lots of mid-sized city mayors governing around the same population as Palin and they would know tons more about the US government, foreign policy, economics, etc.,etc. There is a real commonality between being the governor of Alaska and being a mid sized city mayor. Size does matter, don't kid yourself.
