At least half the people in this country are self-centered, biased, and ignorant.

I believe that very few people really want to hear the truth, even though they claim differently.

Most people want a short term fix and to hell with the long term consequences.

Case in point:  “Drill, baby drill”.

Unfortunately, John McCain’s “Straight Talk Express” got derailed when he realized that he was not going to get the intelligent people’s vote (most were voting democratic) and he’s had to change tactics and start pandering to the idiots in this country…although he’s trying to _appear_ to remain above it by using Sarah Palin as a folksy mouthpiece.

I honestly think that John McCain is a good guy who got swayed by the power of the dark side when he realized that his constituency didn’t really want to hear the truth.

I agree that Obama has taken a few cheap shots, but in general, I think he’s been very restrained for the number of things that he could justifiably say.

The strange dichotomy is that if Obama takes cheap shots, he’s just another politician.  If he doesn’t, he’s a pussy.  What’s a guy to do?

My biggest point is that I think people who claim they don’t like either candidate are lazy and should be ready to STFU when Washington doesn’t do what they want.
