Racism will never disappear in public...behavior

Racism will only disappear in private...behavior.

After the now infamous arrest of an educated black man who acted like a thug, by a racially sensitive white policeman, who forgot what he just preached in his racial sensitivity sessions, and an American president who spoke before thinking, all three professed that this is a teaching moment of some sorts.

Bull hockey.

The teaching moment was when it happend. If Gates, the educated black person was not racist, he would have politely respected questions by a police officer, even a white one. If Crowley, the race sensitivity teaching white cop was not really a racist, he would have understood the reaction of a black person in his own house. And, if the first black president of the United States was not a racist, he would have gotten his facts right before calling a white officer stupid in arresating his black friend.

I think the answer is clear and hard as hell to deal with. It is our private behaviour that needs to change before any progress can come about. If we can really put our prejudices aside in private, when nobody is watching, when CNN is not reporting, we have trully made progress.
