Without a crisis, we act like fools.

The new rage? Be enraged about the healthcare bill, the bailouts and any form of economic stimulus.

Why? Because there is no crisis.

Lets look at some recent history. After 9/11 no one complained about spending idiotic sums of money on national security and two wars.

At the outset of an economic crisis, both parties agreed that a massive bailout and stimulus package was needed.

During the presidential campaign, few were opposed to healthcare reform.

When the american car industry was on the brink of extinction, money poured into Detroit without the tea parties madness.

Now, with no domestic crisis (Haiti is not a state) everyone is an uproar about spending and any form of reform.

What we need is another crisis. Or we will act like enraged nearsighted fools.
