When Elliott Spitzer resigned he admitted that sex with an overpaid prostitute violated his sense for right or wrong.
When John Edwards admitted to having sex with a woman he met in a bar, while his wife was terminally ill, he said that he was disloyal to his core beliefs.
Two questions emerge.
1. What the hell are John's core beliefs and what does Elliott think is the difference between right and wrong.

Hillary Clinton specifically agreed that the Michigan and Florida primaries would not count because they violated party rules and held their primaries at an unapproved date.
Although she placed her name on the ballot, she did not campaign. Obama was not even on the ballot.
Now that she needs the votes and delegates she blatently changes her position and agreement without any justification.
Now that is the kind of character we need in the White House and the leader of the free world.
But hey, this is politics. Since when do rules matter.

I am occasionally asked why I write a blog, in my case it is four blogs, often on the same subject matter. Actually it amounts to four as they fall into a somewhat liberal newspaper, the Austin American Statesman, a conservative My Fox Austin, and an independent, http://www.tellmeyouridea.com/.
There is a simple reason for this diversity, the most important being that I do not feel so self important that I tell my readers what to think or vote. I often refer to myself as an on balance independent, and try to see all sides of any given question.
In gambling it's called a "stacked deck" when the cards in a poker game have been pre-arrainged so that particular people win and particular people don't have a chance.
I am not offended by what he tried to do in an airport bathroom. ( Those layovers tend to be boring...I just buy a newspaper; but to each his own)
I am offended that he does not have the moral and ethical fortitude to tell the truth at least when clearly outed.
What is your stance on "truth in campaigning"??
What should the consequences be for making promises during a campaign and not keeping them? Will you propose legislation in this regard?
People vote on your promises. You make an offer and voters accept it by voting. Will you agree to be accountable for what you promise?
How naive of me. How trite. I know, I know, vote for the one that looks good and makes you feel good.
The new George Washington Silver dollars do not contain the words, "In God We Trust", therefore I, as a committee of one, will refuse to accept them as "legal tender". If you want to serve on my committee all you have to do is refuse them and tell the person who is trying to give them to you why. I also am going to try to find out who the idiots that designed them and the idiots who pushed the U.S. mint to coin them, I'll pass it along.
