I hope you folks that have been pushing the Presidents health care bill read in CNS news today how many IRS agents will be required to police the system. The projection is around 16,500 people.
Please note that I did not call people names who supported the bill. I just think our political leaders (both parties) should be up front on what they are proposing. That will be a huge cost folks.
Who cannot be prouder today of the GOP and its truth speaking members.
How much lower can the GOP sink? Calling the President a liar on national television and accusing everyone that voted for the health care bill a baby killer, is the new definition of compasionate conservatism.
The GOP did not fail to accomplish anything on health care in their eight years; they simply did not want to accomplish anything, and now that reform is becoming a reality they are so upset that they are literally losing it.
It is obvious that the Tea Party is mostly comprised of radical, biggoted, fanatical, absurd, far far right religiously misguided and uneducated white conservatives that suck on the government's tit in real life, while professing to be anti government, i.e. the black dude in their White House.
Now, who in their right mind would embrace these types? Who, in their right mind would allign themselves with their ideas?
Well, the GOP of course. The last few elections have made that clear.
Does everyone know that it is not against the law for the news to lie to us?
You can hate obama or bush or clinton, but America's public enemy #1 is a foreigner and not bin laden, terrorist that he is. The man who has been distorting the news and our democracy for over thirty years with ever increasing power is rupert murdock. Ever since he bought the new york post the news media, which was barely informative to start with, has turned ever more to preaching opinions without factual
The new rage? Be enraged about the healthcare bill, the bailouts and any form of economic stimulus.
Why? Because there is no crisis.
Lets look at some recent history. After 9/11 no one complained about spending idiotic sums of money on national security and two wars.
At the outset of an economic crisis, both parties agreed that a massive bailout and stimulus package was needed.
During the presidential campaign, few were opposed to healthcare reform.
If there is one phrase I'm sick of hearing the Liberal Left use it's "Moving forward". The current administration and most of Congress repeat these words over and over. It's no real surprise, however, given their number of mistakes and incompetent deeds that they want us to keep going forward and not look back.
I don't understand why the issues of abortion and gay marriage have to color almost every decision made by the state and federal governments. These two issues skew and delay action on almost everything from health care reform to selecting and approving a supreme court judge. There is no law in the USA that tells a woman she has to choose abortion, nor is there one that requires any religion or church denomination to perform or sanction gay marriages. That's how separation of church and state works.
It was just recently reported that when Obama worked in an ice cream parlor, in Hawaii, as a teenager, he gave his friends free ice cream.
No big deal, you say. All teenagers do that. You have probably done that.
That in and of itself is the problem. Our Values have eroded and nothing but a return to the strictest moral conservative values will return us to where we need to be as a country and the leader in the world.
Its starts with a few scoops of ice cream and ends up with the giving away of billions of dollars without an end in sight.
How soon we forget. Or are we really that clueless? Are we really just a "what did you do for me today" society?
STOP blaming the Obama administration for the wars in Iraq and Afganistan. Remember who started them?
STOP blaming the Obama administration for the economic conditions and the failure of the stimulus packages. Remember who took eight full years to get us where we are today?
The reason that the town (brawl) hall meetings are getting out of hand is because most people have long ago forgotten how to actually form their own opinions and express them and have instead, over time, been trained to simply repeat, mindlessly, the soundbites they hear on talk (hate) radio and Fox news.
