Please, STOP SPENDING MY MONEY.

Senator Biden made a quick visit to Georgia, and pledged to work for an aid package worth one billion dollars. We all know that one billion will turn into ten billion once the reconstruction mismanagement starts.

How dare he!

Where is all this money coming from? What is the rest of the world contributing?

The british pound and the euro are at all time highs against the dollar, yet it is us that spend like drunken soldiers.

A 10 Point Plan to Mitigate Some of the Ravages of Global Warming

 2. Cool and Protect Small Areas of Tropical Coral Reef for Future Recovery

Why do we need to always be first with military action; there are other countries in this world!

Here we go again. The French broker a deal and step back. The Americans send in troops to "assist" with humanetarian relief efforts for Georgia.

Why always our troops.

The elections cannot come soon enough. The end of war mongering cannot stop soon enough.

The Bush administration, with little world credibility and little bark left, i.e. are we going to take on Russia now, on top of Iraq and Afganistan, immediatly took the opportunity to turn on and up the threats and send into Georgia more of our troops.

Senator Obama's emergency economic plan

So, now, Senator Obama plans to take money from those that earn it, and give it to those that don't.  Do we really want a government deciding how much profit a business should earn, and confiscating the "excess" amount?

Oh wait, taking away money from those that have it, and giving it to the poor....isn't that what we have been doing since the 40's?  And hasn't that been a real success.

After all, we Americans, are a simple people.

It doesnt take a lot of analysis to figure us out. Here is how we behave.

1. We react only to a crisis.

2. We pretty much fall for what ever a politician promises that translates into immediate gratification.

3. We hate government, but expect it to save our ass when in trouble.

4. We stay interested/upset over any issue only as long as the media focuses on it.

5. We choose our leaders based on their position on issues that really dont affect our daily lives.

Cost of gasoline

So, Senator Obama's solution for $4.00 gasoline is to air up our tires and get tune ups.  Do you suppose he even knows how much a tuneup costs.  And, imagine if millions of cars suddenly arrived at tune up shops today.

He really has no clue of what he is doing.

energy

How much energy will be required to develop new sources of energy?   For example, how many gallons of diesal will be required to transport all of those windmills from plant to site?

Congresswoman Pelosi

Congresswoman Pelosi says that she is trying to save the planet.  Someone should point out to her, that she could not destroy the planet, no matter how hard she tried.  So, how arrogant of her to believe she can save it.

Why Only Two?

Why only two...political parties covered in the media?  Why do we allow the political discourse to be framed only in terms of Republicans and Democrats--two parties void of anything new to say or different from one another--when there are at least two other parties with something to say and add?  I refer to my party, the Greens; and, while I don't agree with them, the Libertarians?

No Fear! Just imagine!

Saw the pictures of the long lines at INDYMAC on the news yesterday.

I don't feel worried, however, because ex Senator Phil Gramm has reported that it is in our collective imaginations.  You know, the old 'mental recession' thing - a mirage on the TV screen and all.

By the way, the Emperor has beautiful new clothes, too!

Just Thinking
